At its July 9 meeting the Kokomo City Board of Public Works and Safety approved the employment of four new Kokomo Police Department officers, effective July 14.

"I am recommending the Board public works and safety accept the employment of, Elijah Guest, Cameron Howell, Christopher Maverick, and Blake York as Kokomo Police Department police officers effective July 14," said Chief Stout. A board member moved to approve the hires, another member seconded, and the presiding officer called for the voice vote. The board replied "Aye," and the presiding officer announced, "Motion carries."

The personnel action was recorded as a single motion to hire all four candidates. No discussion or qualifying conditions were recorded in the transcript.
