Walworth County's Board of Supervisors on June 10 adopted an ordinance amending county pay-and-benefits rules during leave and approved an affirmative action plan covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
Ordinance 13-68-O-6-2025 amends Section 50-7 30 of the Walworth County Code of Ordinances relating to pay and benefits status during leave and was recommended by the Human Resources Committee (4-0). The board also approved Resolution 13-O-6-2025, the county's affirmative action plan for the 07/01/2025–06/30/2027 plan year, following the committee recommendation.
During the meeting a supervisor commented, “I was reassured that we don't implement quotas with the affirmative action. It's more to a broader base than might automatically see our help wanted signs,” and the comment drew no recorded objections. The transcript notes committee recommendations and that motions to approve were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The transcript does not include the full ordinance text or specific implementation steps for the affirmative action plan; county staff will follow human-resources procedures to implement the ordinance and plan.
