Marshall County commissioners approved the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) county bridge-inspection contract for the 2026–2029 cycle and empowered the board president to sign the contract on behalf of the county.
Highway staff said the contract will allow the county to submit the purchase order and secure inspection funds for 2026–2029 once signatures are in place. Commissioners voted to approve the contract and then amended the motion to empower the board president to sign because the contract as presented required only a single signature.
The motion passed by voice vote. Highway staff will submit the signed contract and the purchase order so the county can begin using inspection funds when they become available under the new contract period.
