Building Official Jason Leidy said staff has received structural plans and that a building permit was issued to address the collapsed south loading dock; a final, comprehensive code review is pending receipt of mechanical, plumbing and completed electrical plans. “Structural plans have been submitted and the building permit, has been issued to address the collapse of the South Loading Dock,” Leidy said.
Staff recommendation and follow-up: Leidy said the owner is working in good faith with an architect and that staff will continue active communication. Because the owner has begun permited work, staff recommended removing the item from future council agendas. If a full building permit is not applied for or “significant progress” is not made within 180 days, staff will return the item to council for further action.
