Finance staff informed the committee that the city audit has been delayed because of turnover at the auditing firm handling the single audit and related work. Staff said the audit period was extended to July 31 to provide the new auditors additional time to complete the work and that staff are confident the audits will be finalized within the two-week extension.

No policy changes were proposed; the committee took the update as informational. Staff explained the extension was intended to provide breathing room given personnel transitions at the audit firm and to ensure the single-audit work is completed accurately.

The committee adjourned after the update and routine closing items.
