The city of Winsted’s water‑main project is partially complete and a plant breakdown briefly slowed paving but the contractor resumed operations overnight, the presenter said. Staff advised that Ford Avenue south of 18th Street is now under Glencoe city jurisdiction following a turn‑back and that the county has completed patching north of 18th Street. The Hennepin Avenue project is a joint city–county effort; utilities work includes water‑main tie‑ins that require short closures, including a closure at the intersection under Highway 22 to complete a water‑main tie. Commissioners and staff asked residents to follow posted detours and consult the city website for maps of temporary traffic routing. No formal board action was required; the update was informational.
