Radcliffe City Council voted unanimously July 7 to reappoint Sue Glacken to the Hardee County Board of Ethics. The reappointment was offered during a special called meeting at Radcliffe City Hall and approved by roll call.
The council recommended reappointing Sue Glacken to fill an expired term through June 30, 2028. “She’s been a long time resident of our community, and she recently retired from Hardin County Schools,” the mayor said when presenting the recommendation. The mayor added that the ethics board “isn’t very active, but they have become active.”
After a motion and a second, the council conducted a roll-call vote. Councilman Brown, Roach, Murrow and Owens recorded “yes” votes; the motion carried. The council noted the appointment will be reflected in city records and discussed further in the work session.
The reappointment was announced alongside a planned revision to the city’s ethics ordinance intended to align Radcliffe’s rules with neighboring jurisdictions; that ordinance revision will appear on a future meeting agenda for further consideration.
No additional conditions or amendments to the appointment were recorded in the meeting minutes.
