Estill County schools present annual cybersecurity review; district uses phishing tests and insurance

Simpson told trustees the review is an annual, July–August requirement intended to inform the board and community about district cybersecurity protections. “We currently have been using know before for phishing testing,” he said, and added that the district “do have cybersecurity insurance, and that in case there ever is a cybersecurity breach, the Estill County School District and the board, do have insurance policies in place to take care of those situations and to respond and remediate as according.”
The presentation was informational; board members had no further revisions or action at this meeting.
