Superintendent Dr. Sanco used the July 17 meeting to update the board on summer programming, facility work and several family-facing operational items ahead of the 2025–26 school year.
Dr. Sanco said extended‑school‑year and summer‑academy programs are under way and that “students are making strong gains.” He reported preparations for full‑day kindergarten were progressing, with teachers finalizing schedules and curricula.
On family services, the superintendent said the district is moving its meal‑account management to the MySchoolBucks platform for the 2025–26 school year and urged parents to create new accounts when information is posted. He also noted a Pennsylvania Department of Human Services program called Sunbucks provides a one‑time $120 grocery payment per eligible child during the summer; the superintendent said details are on the district website (www.crsd.org).
Dr. Sanco reminded families that the Home Access Center (HACC) will open Friday, Aug. 1, allowing parents and students to view class schedules and update contact information. He repeated the district calendar and committee‑meeting dates for August and September and asked the community to rely on official district channels for accurate information.
In the superintendent’s report the district also noted fundraising: Council Rock raised $24,889 for Ableforce during the 2025–26 school year. Ableforce founder Mike Fitzgerald said the contribution helped the organization bring back staff and roll out recreational and employment programs; Fitzgerald told the board, “With your contributions… we’ll have a total of 12 adults back working for us.”
Dr. Sanco closed by encouraging families to check the district website for updates and said the facilities, human resources and business offices are working to ensure a smooth start to the school year.
