Staff presented a compliance report summarizing all active economic development incentive agreements and told the board the department recently upgraded software to better track compliance and produce formal reports.
"During the May board meeting, staff was asked by the board to bring back a compliance report for all of the, active economic development agreements. So we did attach a spreadsheet, with the packet that shows the current agreements for all of the, economic development department as of right now," said economic development staff. The spreadsheet lists participating companies, compliance terms, a brief description of incentives and agreement expiration dates.
Staff said the new software is still in the onboarding process but will enable regular, formal compliance reports going forward. "Staff has, recently upgraded our software in order to track, compliance on all of our incentive agreements. We're currently still in the onboarding process of it," the presenter said. The presenter identified business attraction staff (Mr. Harden) as the primary staff contact for compliance questions and asked board members to reach out to him for follow up.
On review, staff reported no current concerns with the agreements in the packet. When asked directly if there were concerns, the presenter replied, "Not as of right now." The presenter noted that some detailed answers might be limited because Mr. Harden was not present at the meeting.
Board members were told they could request follow‑up calls or email responses to specific compliance questions and that staff will begin offering regular updates as the new tracking software comes online.
