Earlier in June the board appointed Katie Laddow to fill Buttimer’s seat. At the June 16 meeting Laddow took the oath of office and introduced her husband, Andy, and their twins, Marvin and Nora. The oath, administered during the meeting, included a standard pledge to "faithfully discharge the duties of the office of member of the board of education" and to "respect taxpayer interests." Laddow will begin serving immediately per board action taken earlier in the month.
