Commissioners asked about Baxter's conservation experience and public-service motivations; Baxter cited prior volunteer roles, interest in wildlife conservation and youth education, and recommended colleagues who supported her application.
A motion to adopt Resolution 2025-017 was moved and seconded; roll-call votes were taken and the motion carried with all commissioners voting yes. The commission welcomed Baxter and directed staff to finalize her appointment paperwork and to advise the Natural Resources Preservation Advisory Board of the new member.
