Participants named specific parcels and stakeholders for consideration: the Munitions campus area, property around the I‑69/231 interchange (including the Love's truck-stop property), the Wagner/Waggler properties on the west side of 231, and land south along I‑69 to capture the site proposed for a Department of Transportation rest stop and the routing of its piping. Staff noted some West-side parcels adjacent to 231 may already be inside the district map, but that Crane Village (a nearby town) is not currently part of the district and would require a separate, more distant process.
Staff proposed that one or two board members meet with county staff (Rick Graves was suggested) to develop a recommended expansion map so the commissioners' formal request would be precise. The board agreed that Greene County parcels should be the near-term priority and that Martin County expansion could be addressed later. Staff said they would schedule a follow-up with the suggested participants and circulate materials by email.
