County planning staff and CADIC announce brownfields work at former Tyco site in Carlisle

Commissioner Neider said he attended a Brownfields announcement at the former Tyco site in Carlisle and that county planning staff will help identify other potential brownfield properties across Cumberland County. "I attended the Brownfields announcement, that CADIC made at the former Tyco site, in Carlisle," Neider said, and added Kirk Stoner from the planning department had a prominent role in the announcement. Neider said the county will help compile proposed sites across the county. He also reported the planning commission is resuming educational workshops, beginning with programs on agricultural conservation easements and related preservation programs. The board did not take formal action on the Tyco site at the meeting; the remarks were part of the commissioners’ regular reports.
