Monroe County commissioners approved a one-time software update with OpenGov on July 17 to normalize addresses in the county’s permitting system, at a cost not to exceed $3,500 charged to the county general fund.
Planning Director Jelen told the board the update will adjust the county’s address data on the back end to make permitting workflows more seamless and save employee time. The item was presented as a one-time fee on the agenda.
Commissioners expressed support, noting anticipated time savings for staff. The motion passed unanimously and no public comment was recorded.
