Monroe County commissioners voted July 17 to approve an amendment to a 2021 CARES grant that will allow the Health Department to spend remaining funds on Narcan kits before the end of the year.
County staff said the 2021 CARES funding originally supported creation of Narcan kits and that some grant funds remained unspent. The health department sought formal authority to expend the remaining balance before CARES grant deadlines. The county’s CARES board reviewed and approved the extension in February, staff said.
The motion passed unanimously with no public comment recorded.
