DeBary keeps Orlandia Heights neighborhood assessment at $300 and appoints Sean Harvey to district board

The DeBary City Council voted to maintain the Orlandia Heights Neighborhood Improvement District non-ad valorem assessment at $300 per parcel for fiscal year 2025–26 and approved the appointment of Sean Harvey to the Orlandia Heights NID Board of Directors.

The council heard that the district previously met and recommended keeping the assessment unchanged. No public comments were offered at the hearing. The council then considered an application from Sean Harvey; the city manager noted Harvey is a DeBary resident and a 27-year city employee who recently retired and recommended his appointment. Council approved Harvey’s nomination by unanimous vote.

Resolution No. 2025-12 sets the unchanged assessment and the appointment fills a seat on the NID board; council did not discuss further changes to the district's boundary or service scope at the meeting.
