The City of Mosquito Library Board voted July 15 to run a limited-service model during an August parking‑lot milling and repaving project, allowing short-term indoor access plus curbside options while the library’s main entrance is closed.
Board members decided the library will offer a mix of curbside pickup and short-term parking with a 15‑minute limit so visitors can briefly enter to pick up holds, print or browse; longer uses (study rooms, meeting rooms and programs) will be suspended for the construction period. The board approved that approach (called “option 2” in staff materials) after staff described safety, accessibility and liability tradeoffs.
The board was warned by staff that the front entrance and primary parking area will be closed while crews mill and pour concrete, and that the concrete needs about seven days to cure. To…
