A motion to appoint McShane was made and seconded; trustees then voted. The chair announced: "Motion passes. Welcome, trustee McShane." The board clerk then swore in and seated the new trustee.
Trustees commended both candidates for stepping forward. Several trustees emphasized the importance of high‑school trustees during upcoming levy and funding discussions and said the role requires daytime availability for school visits and committee work.
