City staff reported July 15 that the city administrator directed the parks director to repair a roof leak at the Alice House; the parks department will bill the Friends of Alice House for the work. The Friends group’s signage for the house received plan commission approval the prior night; staff said their approved off-building sign and landscaping bed installation will proceed.
Staff said that, once the new park signage is installed, the current signage on the house and a separate ‘lease your dog’ sign will be removed and stored. The commission was told the repair and signage changes are moving forward and that staff will provide updates as work proceeds. No funding or motion was required from the commission during the July 15 meeting.
