Layton Fire Department selected to continue EMS provider role after RFP produced no competing proposals

City staff asked the council to authorize the mayor to sign the relicensure paperwork naming Layton City Fire Department as the EMS provider. Council members indicated support and signed the document on the record as requested.
Staff said the relicensure paperwork will be filed with the appropriate state licensing authority and that internal department staff will continue to manage EMS operations in coordination with regional partners.
