Murfreesboro board appoints Anita Hall to fill vacancy

The Murfreesboro Community Unit School District 186 board appointed Anita Hall to fill a vacancy on the board and administered the oath of office at its July meeting. The appointment followed the board’s acceptance of a prior resignation and was presented as a single-item action on the agenda. "I, Anita Hall, do solemnly affirm," Hall said during the swearing-in before repeating a pledge to discharge the duties of the office "in accordance with the Constitution of The United States, the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the laws of the State of Illinois to the best of my ability."
