The $300,000 is coming out of the West Dayton Development Fund," said the staff presenter.
Staff said the Wright Dunbar investment is expected to leverage $6,000,000 in further private or public investment and to support a more active streetscape along the corridor. The parks contract will fund upgrades at Sandalwood and Claridge parks (including new shelters) and a repaved tennis court plus a perimeter walking trail at Jane Newcomb Park.
Commissioner Sloss moved to approve the city manager's recommendations; the motion was seconded and the commission voted "Aye" unanimously to approve the package.
The approvals authorize staff to proceed with the contract modification and the parks contract per the manager's recommendations; the record does not show a separate vote on each individual contract beyond the omnibus approval.
