District 25 nominates board member Dr. Anisha Joghe to IASB presidency consideration

At the July 15 meeting the Arlington Heights District 25 Board of Education voted 6—0 to recommend Dr. Anisha Joghe to the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) nominating committee for consideration as IASB president. Board Member Kevin moved the recommendation; a second was recorded and the board then voted unanimously to forward Joghe—s materials. Board members commended Joghe—s submission and her described goals for the state organization; one board member said the materials showed "thoughtfulness and just the deep understanding of the needs of our state organization." Dr. Joghe thanked colleagues for their trust and said she had "gotten more out of this service than I have put in." The superintendent called the roll for the vote, which was recorded as yes by Member Buk Berger, Member Niermann, Member Tranter, Member Joghe, Member Scapalato and Member Michael. No objections or alternatives were raised during the public meeting. The board did not take any further formal action on IASB matters at the July meeting beyond the nomination recommendation.
