Applicants Lucia Hernandez and Esteli Martinez appeared before the board and confirmed the business is new. Martinez said her mother has about 25 years of experience in the local restaurant industry and that the new operation will draw on that experience. The applicants told the board the planned hours are roughly 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Chairman Gregory Branch asked whether there were any police or public-safety concerns; the board recorded no issues from police. A board member moved to grant the license, a second was recorded and the two members voted in favor.
The board advised the applicants to pick up their license after providing the required Board of Health paperwork. No public opposition was recorded on the transcript.
