The White House Economic Development Council continued planning Aug. 21 for a City Center grand opening targeted for Sept. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. Susan (Staff member, White House Economic Development Council) presented branding and promotional materials, including pins and retractable banners, and said a vendor-provided mood board and updated food photos are now in the meeting packet. She told members Proforma has asked for vector artwork for large printed banners and staff is resolving that issue before placing the order. The council selected six heavy appetizers for the event: meatballs; mac-and-cheese shooters; brie bites; bacon-ranch pinwheels; antipasto skewers; and fruit shooter cups. Susan said the Chamber is sponsoring cookies as an additional sweet option in a separate room. Staff described layout plans for the foyer and banquet hall, booth locations for promotional items and a plan to use branded tote bags. Council members noted the event date coincides with a regular meeting; the EDC may adjust scheduling or hold a preview meeting at the City Center once the facility is ready. No formal vote was required; council members confirmed the direction on branding, menu and logistics and asked staff to finalize invitations and an event agenda.
