Applicant statement and plan: Michael McKelvin told the commission the parcel was part of a family estate and said he planned to create three roughly 5‑acre lots and one 6‑acre lot, sell some lots to pay estate debts, and build a home on the back 33.5‑acre piece he retains. Planning staff presented the zoning map and aerial and recommended approval of the sketch plan. The commission voted to approve the sketch plan unanimously.
Procedure and next steps: A sketch plan approval allows the applicant to proceed to subsequent platting and permitting steps; any required final plat, infrastructure or permit conditions will be handled in later reviews. The commission made no conditional changes at the sketch stage.
