The policy requires that speakers be residents of Stark County or have business before the commission.
A city official attending the meeting noted the city would adopt a similar resolution and said a major clarifying change is that comments should relate to an agenda item (current or past). County staff said the policy will be posted on the county website and that commissioners asked for an annual review to ensure it aligns with legislative changes.
Commissioner White moved to adopt the policy, with the motion seconded by Commissioner Claris; the motion passed on a voice vote.
