Needham working group approves public page and readies stormwater bylaw changes for Select Board and public session

The Needham Stormwater Bylaw Working Group voted to publish a public information page and moved forward with a presentation the group will give to the Select Board and the public, while continuing work on regulations to implement revisions to the town’s stormwater bylaw.

The working group approved the draft webpage and presentation slides intended to advertise a public listening session set for Aug. 5 at Needham Town Hall, Powers Hall, from 7 to 8 p.m., and to provide a Zoom option and an online form for advance questions. The group also confirmed it will brief the Select Board ahead of that public session.

The vote authorized staff to post the page after the presenter and web staff make minor edits. Working-group members asked that the event notice be visually prominent on the page (moved to a right-side column or top of the page), and that the page include the draft bylaw, the one-page recommendation summary being shared with the Select Board and a form to submit questions in advance. Staff said the page will include a Zoom link and links to the draft bylaw and summary. The work to finalize the supporting regulations will continue separately.
