BPAC recommends TIP amendments including Roadrunner Transit updates, safe‑routes grant and I‑25 milepost change

Capital equipment (TL00120) and rolling stock (TL00140) lines were updated to reflect actual FTA awards for FY2024–2027. The MPO staff introduced LC600, a Safe Routes to School project, funded with TAP flex and small‑urban TAP funds and local matches, with a stated project total of $700,000; staff said that project will affect Performance Measure 1 (safety targets). Staff also presented LC00382, an NMDOT project for the I‑25 Engler interchange, which updates the milepost range from MP 6 to MP 8.3 and was listed as affecting Performance Measure 1 safety targets.
Committee members noted that the I‑25 milepost amendment was a last‑minute addition and that no dollar amount was listed for it in the packet; staff said the addition was late. After discussion, Ashley Curry moved and Aubrey Casillas seconded a motion recommending the suite of TIP amendments to the MPO governing board. The motion passed on a voice vote with no recorded opposition.
