City staff told the Downtown Action Committee that a recent public session for the downtown master plan, led by the consultant team, drew strong public attendance and engagement. Staff said the consultant presented preliminary concept areas and potential projects; the public provided feedback, both supportive and critical, on the concepts.
Staff said the next steps include targeted outreach to the Northwest Neighborhood District to gather additional input for areas that may be heavily affected by the revised plan. The consultant team will coordinate with City staff on neighborhood engagement and will return to provide an update on preliminary findings and recommended regulations. Committee members complimented staff and the consultant on the turnout and the quality of the public session.
The update was delivered as part of general staff reports and did not include formal action by the committee.
