The Tompkins County Public Safety Committee voted unanimously on June 24 to approve a budget reappropriation of Park Foundation funds for the county's drug court and family treatment court programs (Doc ID 13385). Shauna moved the resolution and Veronica seconded; the motion passed without opposition.
Dan, representing the Department of Probation and Community Justice, told the committee that the funds are managed by probation on behalf of the drug courts and are used for participant rewards, incentives, graduations and related recognition expenses, such as refreshments or graduation items. "The money is applied to rewards and incentives for drug court participants, family treatment court, as well as covers the cost of graduations, recognition, cakes," Dan said.
Committee members did not request further amendments and the resolution passed immediately. The committee recorded the vote as unanimous. No additional appropriation details beyond the resolution title and Doc ID were provided during the discussion.
