Saratoga County holds public hearing on lease for 2116 Rent A Car at county airport

The Saratoga County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing June 11 on a proposed lease with 2116 Rent A Car LLC to operate a rental-car space at the Saratoga County Airport; no members of the public signed up to speak and no written comments were submitted, the clerk said.
Presiding Supervisor, Saratoga County Board of Supervisors, opened the hearing and said, "I'll call this public hearing to order on a proposed lease with 2 1 1 6 Rent A Car LLC for operation of a rental car space at the Saratoga County Airport. I'll first ask the, clerk to read the public notice." The Clerk of the Board read the notice, which states the hearing was held pursuant to "resolution 119 of 2025" and gives a June 11, 2025, 4:30 p.m. start time and a deadline of 3:30 p.m. the same day for written comments.
The presiding supervisor told the board that airport planning had two early goals: to attract a restaurant and a rental-car business. "We have achieved both of those goals," the presiding supervisor said, adding that the leases were "very fair to both sides" and would help the businesses establish and grow. The supervisor credited Chad Cook and his team for shepherding the project and said the county is ahead of schedule compared with other recipients of the same grant funding from DOT. "I wanna give, Chad Cook and his team tremendous amount of credit as they shepherded this project along to get to this point," the supervisor said.
The supervisor said construction progressed quickly for a project of this size and confirmed a ribbon-cutting is planned "later this month." The clerk reported that no members of the public had signed up to speak and that there were no written communications submitted for the hearing.
At the close of remarks the presiding supervisor said, "I will call the public hearing to a close. Thank you, Eric. Thank you all." No formal vote or other board action on the lease occurred during the public hearing.
Copies of resolution 119 of 2025, which the clerk said contain the lease's key terms, are available in the clerk's office and on the county website.
