Saratoga County approves $11 million, 10-year Axon contract for sheriff's cameras and records systems

The Saratoga County Law and Finance Committee voted to authorize a 10-year agreement with Axon Enterprise Inc. valued at $10,959,278.97 to supply body-worn and in-car cameras, taser equipment, electronic evidence storage and a replacement records and training management system for the sheriff’s office.

The contract, presented during the committee meeting on June 11, 2025, was described as an upgrade that will consolidate two current systems into one. Committee members approved the agreement by voice vote after Supervisor Lant moved the item and Supervisor Butler seconded.
