The Vidor Independent School District Board of Trustees voted Monday to acquire 0.0263 acres, or additional acreage as necessary, of real property located on Freeway Drive in Vidor and delegated negotiation and closing authority to the superintendent.

The motion read that the board would "acquire 0.0263 acre acres or additional acreage as necessary of real property located on Freeway Drive, Vidor, Texas, Adventures LLC and delegate authority to the superintendent to negotiate the acquisition pay the negotiated purchase price and sign any and all documents necessary to complete the transaction." A trustee moved the motion; another seconded, and the board approved the acquisition 7-0.

The board did not disclose a purchase price in open session. The superintendent was authorized to negotiate and sign any documents necessary to complete the transaction. Staff did not provide additional background in open session about intended use of the parcel.
