VIDOR ISD trustees approve summer budget amendments, transfers

Trustee David Camp moved and Ms. Vincent seconded approval of a slate of budget amendments and transfers during the VIDOR ISD Board of Trustees’ special meeting on June 16, 2025. "I move that we approve the budget amendments transfers as presented," Camp said. The board voted, with the chair announcing, "Motion passes 6 0 with 1 absent."

Board members and staff said the approvals reflect routine year-end work to close out campus budgets and consolidate district funds. A district staff member noted technology purchases were an exception to the general closeout timeline: "So we have a couple when I say closing budgets, technology is an exception to that and to an extent curriculum as well." Trustees asked whether Chromebook parts and related technology purchases had been completed; staff confirmed those orders were made.

The vote was taken during the meeting’s business session; no further action or discussion items were recorded for the transfers. The board then moved on to scheduled presentations and training. The board did not identify any supplemental funding sources or specific vendor contracts in the public motion and vote.
