Staff also said a new mechanic is currently enrolled in a commercial driver’s license (CDL) training course this week and will be ready to assist this winter. Staff invited committee members to the department’s full‑staff fall rodeo on Oct. 15 and asked members who can judge to let staff know.
Formal action: Motion by Matt, second by Steve to approve agenda items 5, 6 and 7 covering highway seasonal positions for 2026; committee voice vote recorded “aye,” no opposing votes were recorded and the motion passed.
