The board discussed whether the mural’s design stipend and material allowances were sufficient and noted overlap with other graphic-design competitions the board has run.
Selection and outreach: The application requires an artist statement describing the vision for the proposed artwork. Staff said the city will publish the call on its website, distribute it via email lists and social media, and share it with the Seminole Cultural Arts Council registry and partner organizations to maximize outreach.
Ending: With the change approved, staff will publish the revised call-to-artists for the Center Lake mural and proceed with the blind review process; no artist was selected at the meeting.
