Glen Rock board to set annual retreat; members propose August and summer dates

The Glen Rock Public School District Board of Education discussed scheduling its annual board retreat and asked the board president to circulate several proposed dates for members to rank. Members suggested using the August 25 regular meeting date as one option and adding two early-summer or late‑July dates; the president said she would put three dates into a doodle poll so the board could identify the date with the most availability.

The president said she planned to engage an outside facilitator for the retreat and asked members to email two additional dates to staff to be included in the poll.

The board did not adopt a final date at the meeting; instead, members agreed to respond to the poll and finalization will follow once the doodle results identify the date with the greatest attendance.

One board member asked that agenda items or presentations that tie to specific district goals be labeled on regular meeting agendas going forward to make it easier to track progress and evidence in future evaluations and discussions; board members supported that suggestion.
