Program set for renaming Brick Church Middle School to honor Judge Richard Dinkins

Council member Timbs announced during the July 15 Metro Nashville and Davidson County Council meeting that Brick Church Middle School will be renamed in honor of the late Judge Richard Dinkins.
Timbs said the renaming program will take place Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at Brick Church Middle School and invited the public to attend “to celebrate that really great man who had a very, well respected and and excellent career and and is and is missed.”
The announcement was informational; no council vote or formal action on the renaming occurred during the July 15 meeting. The council member provided the date, time and location for the commemorative program and asked residents to attend the ceremony.
