Planning commission selects chair; names Chad McNutt vice chair

At the start of the session the Natrona County Planning and Zoning Commission nominated officers for the coming year. A motion was made to identify candidates for chair and vice chair; commissioners nominated a colleague identified in the record only as “Al” for chair and cast a unanimous ballot. Commissioner Chad McNutt was nominated and accepted the vice chair position, and commissioners again cast a unanimous ballot.
The commission’s attorney explained the process: a commissioner must nominate a fellow commissioner and another commissioner must second the nomination before the commission votes. After the vice chair nomination, McNutt said he “would accept, humbly accept,” and the commission confirmed him by voice vote.
The nominations and unanimous ballots occurred early in the agenda; the commission proceeded to other business after the chair and vice chair were confirmed.
