Planning staff reports progress on CDO amendment prioritization list; ordinance-review committee continues work

Planning staff told the Monroe County Plan Commission that since the last update (June 11) many items on the County Development Ordinance amendment prioritization list have been completed or substantially completed; the ordinance-review committee will continue work on remaining items.
Planning Department staff reported to the Monroe County Plan Commission that the last formal amendment to the County Development Ordinance (CDO) was on June 11 and that, since that time, staff has completed or substantially completed many items on the department’s CDO amendment prioritization list. Staff noted the packet includes a link that highlights, in red text, which items are complete.
Nestor Jelen, a planning staff member, told commissioners the ordinance-review committee is continuing to work through remaining items on the list. No commissioners offered questions that changed staff’s update, and no formal action was requested or taken on the prioritization list at the meeting.
Staff asked commissioners to refer to the packet link for the most current status and said they would return to the commission with further updates as the ordinance-review committee completes additional items.
