At the city council meeting, a resident representing the 7 Hills Historical Society outlined plans to recognize about 57 houses as part of a Centennial project and said the group will notify homeowners next year about participation.
"We identified approximately 57 houses," said Laura Palsisco, who said the initiative is a project of the historical society. "We are this year gonna basically work to try to figure out how we wanna implement this and begin implementing notifying homeowners next year to see if they wanna participate in recognition of their homes as a part of this." Robert Todd, who provided an address to the record, also spoke from the audience.
Mayor Villasciaga told the group, "I think it's a fantastic idea, and administration will cooperate with you and the historical society to, whatever extent you need." The mayor also promoted Home Days activities scheduled for the weekend, including a 5K and a talent show, and encouraged residents to attend.
