Funding notes: Louder told the board that the SRO grant provides only a partial match toward officer salaries; the district requests local county funds to fully support MOUs. She also said the federal/state grant does not provide funding for high-school SROs and that this year competition for grant dollars left the district unable to obtain its full requested amount. The district budget accounted for the increased cost associated with the revised pay schedule, according to capital/finance staff.
Board action: The board approved the contracts by voice vote after a motion to approve; the board was told some MOUs are two-year contracts and others one-year, and district staff bring modifications for annual review when documents are changed.
