Stonecrest reviews three Type 1 home-occupation permit applications; staff to issue decisions

City of Stonecrest planning staff held a special administrative permit (SAP) public hearing on July 15, 2025, to consider three Type 1 home-occupation permit applications for administrative-office use at private residences. The applicants were Nikkita Bush of KBS Healthcare; Renee Hawkins of Quest Realty Endeavors; and Charlita Adams of Sacred Heart Home Health Agency, LLC. Planning staff said decision letters would be issued within 24 to 48 hours.

The hearing matters because Georgia law, effective July 1, 2023, requires a public hearing for a special administrative permit for Type 1 home occupations, and the City of Stonecrest enforces supplementary rules in its municipal code. Zoning analyst Abby, representing the Planning and Zoning Department, told applicants they must comply "with the supplemental regulations in City Ordinance chapter 27 section 4.2.0.31." That ordinance was referenced repeatedly during the session.
