Council approves mayoral appointments to CAR PFD and Parks board

The City Council unanimously approved several mayoral appointment recommendations during the July 15 meeting. The council moved and seconded appointments to the CAR PFD (district-wide seats) of Anne Campbell and Jeff Line; staff clarified that residency in Lacey is not required for these district-wide appointments and these positions will also be appointed by other jurisdictions in the district. Both motions passed unanimously. The council also reappointed Bill Fosbury to the Parks, Culture and Recreation Board; that motion likewise passed unanimously. Council members asked whether any vacancies remained on the CAR PFD and parks boards; staff and the parks director said all current positions were filled and there were no immediate vacancies to advertise.
