Commission recommends approval for 8.2-acre split to gift lot to daughter

The Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission voted 4-0 to recommend approval of a rezoning that will allow an 8.2-acre A-2 parcel at 788 Racetrack Road to be split into two 4.1-acre tracts, with the owner retaining one and gifting the other to his daughter.
Applicant Mike Aaron (appearing on behalf of property owner Michael Herring) told the commission the intent is to allow his daughter to build a home after she recently married and is expecting a child. There was no public opposition. The commission approved the request and will forward a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners for final action.
