Town administrator: oil/propane bids set, water hookup approved; public-safety pump switch pending

Town Administrator Bill presented administrative items July 15, including updated bid documents for heating oil and propane; the administration set a bid opening date (week of Aug. 8) and a subsequent board meeting to review results. Bill said the town will post solicitations and send them to known suppliers. The board considered a request from a property owner on Campbell Road (James Half) to connect to the city water main from the town side of the road. The owner paid required fees and the Select Board approved a letter of municipal permission to allow the city to consider the connection; the motion to approve the hookup was made, seconded and passed unanimously (4-0). Bill also reported that a transfer switch for a pump at the public-safety building had been delivered and still needs to be wired and commissioned; the town clerk noted the item as an ongoing installation progress update. No formal policy changes were made. Administrators will post bid solicitations for fuel and follow up on the public-safety switch installation.
