Magistrate orders Jensen Beach property owner to clear overgrowth and inoperable vehicles

A Martin County magistrate ordered the owner of a Jensen Beach property at 2308 Northeast Center Circle to remove overgrown vegetation and inoperable vehicles and to correct trailer/vehicle issues by Aug. 29, 2025.
Code investigator Tamika Bush testified she inspected the property on Feb. 17 and observed overgrown grass, inoperable vehicles and a trailer; she photographed the conditions and issued notices of violation with an initial compliance date of May 5. The county posted the property and followed up with photographs on July 15 that showed inoperable vehicles and flat tires, she said.
The owner did not appear and no representative was at the hearing. After the county presented exhibits documenting the condition, the magistrate found the violations existed, ordered compliance by Aug. 29 and awarded $575 in investigative costs to Martin County.
Procedure The magistrate accepted county exhibits 1–14 into evidence and directed the owner to rectify the listed violations. The magistrate noted investigative costs are payable at the conclusion of the hearing and that corrections should be followed by a reinspection request.
