Council adopts additional appropriation to fund overlapping hire for fire department recruit

"The next offering of the Fire Academy is not till February. So that would put us in a staffing deficit coming up towards the end of the year," the chief said.
Tanya, the clerk treasurer, read Resolution 20 25-19, and the council opened and closed the required public hearing with no comment. A council member moved to approve the resolution; Sandra Jasanowski seconded. The council approved the appropriation by voice vote. The resolution appropriates $43,512 from the general fund for personal services in the fire department to fund the concurrent hire.
